Tidewater Striders Summer Series and Mel Williams Memorial Scholarship 5K
This running series starts Tuesday, July 10 and ends on Tuesday, July 31, 2018. All races will be held in the evening in Norfolk, Virginia at the Norfolk Botanical Garden (Admission is not included in the race - and you will be charged an additional $3 for entrance, that evening)
Each race has its own theme, as follows
Summer Series I New Balance Predict your time 2 miler ($10). 07/10 6:45PM EDT - 8:30PM (Registration ends July 9, 2018 at 11:59pm).
Summer Series II Hoka 1 mile Random Relay ($10). 07/17 6:45PM EDT - 8:30PM (Registration ends July 16, 2018 at 11:59pm).
Summer Series III Saucony 5K Poker Run ($10) . 07/24 6:45PM EDT - 8:30PM (Registration ends July 23, 2018 at 11:59pm).
The summer Series ends with the big and well-loved Mel Williams Memorial Scholarship 5K Walk/ Run ($20). 07/31 6:05PM EDT - 8:30PM EDT (Price increases after July 17, 2018 at 11:59pm).
Tidewater Striders is one of the largest running clubs in the United States. The members are heavy into volunteering, coaching and motivating each other to race longer, bigger and safer! There is a very popular training league for 6-16 year olds that members help coach, several opportunities to clean up highways and trails and there is always an opportunity to run.
