Well, right now, today, success looks and feels like exhaustion. I am WOOOPED. Homeschooling busy boys, dealing a 30-client deck, and buckling down for fall and To-Do lists. PHEW
Having a small business -- especially as a sole proprietor -- can be daunting at times. But, as I was saying to a client, today, it all happened because of an algorithm. That sounds really fancy - it isn't. What it means is this.
You decide what you're going to sell
You decide what you'd like to sell the most of (some products are more fun than others)
You decide who your perfect client is
You decide your worth (hourly rate)
You find your first client and you learn, learn and learn some more how to be a great vendor
You make them VERY happy and ask for a review or a referral
Then you brand yourself on social media and talk about everything you do -- in a personal way
That really is the truth -- if you do it right in the beginning, you get to a point, where you can say "no," or change your pricing, because you have too much business. You can hire people to help you, or raise your prices and cut your number of clients. You can DO this, too.
