I don't think every business should have a Facebook business page
but you need to have SOMETHING
If you have a “social” business open to the general public, you should be on Facebook. Examples are handimen, bookkeepers, amusements, family restaurants, auto mechanics, writers, artists, designers, business services (catering, powerwashing, landscaper, dog walkers, house cleaning, carpet cleaning) ice cream shops, pancake houses, preschools, churches, orthodontists, and birthday-party venues. Reviews on Facebook tend to come from people who like your page, so they really help you get found and help your Google Ranking.
Some pages haven't been as successful at growing and gaining reviews and engagement - my list includes life coaches, travel agents, therapists, or real estate agents. These tend to have less success in attracting a public fan base. If you choose to have a Facebook page, do not expect many user generated comments or interaction. People value their privacy.
