Do you have to use videos in Social Media posts?

Well...yes. Because one minute of video is worth new clients and new exposure that a photo just won't give you. More videos are shared than anything else on Facebook. One thing is evident for all business owners, in order to compete you need to be marketing your company using video content. It doesn't have to be a long video. As a matter of fact, the attention span of my 4 year old, can attest to the fact that after about 30 seconds or so, he is DONE, unless it is fabulous. Fabulous videos send a message, are short/sweet and keep your client or prospect watching for at least 10 seconds.

According to a report from Forrester Research, “a minute of video is worth 1.8 million words” and when you think about all of the video content you consume on a daily basis just by going about your daily routines and how many different advertising messages you remember through sound, slogan and commercial alone–you know they are right. Now knowing all of this, why would you waste a second longer and not get the most you can out of your Facebook Timeline video messages?!

Posting your video content on Facebook is so easy you can do it in seconds (check out our step by step guide). And you can use your Facebook videos to test: test which headlines work (set up an A/B Test of different video titles that represent the same overall promotional message and see what headline draws the most views); test what promotions your customers are most interested in (sales, events, promotions, tours or re-caps); and test what length and speed draws them in.

Simply by posting your videos on Facebook, you can see if your customers are engaging with your videos on their desktop or mobile, which can help you solve for questions. Facebook also provides Insights which allows you to see more information about who is viewing your video content by Gender, Age, Country, City, Language.

Finally - don't be overwhelmed with social media marketing. First - you can do this. If you cannot do it, sign a contract and let's get started TOGETHER!
